". . Flying Saucers Don't Crash!" . . .

. . .was the declaration made by officials at the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in reaction to what the pilots of Philippine Airlines have to say with regards to what seemed to be anomalous phenomenon represented by three (3) "bright lights" sighted over the Western Visayan area to be flying "in formation" and apparently doing unusual aerial maneurvers.

Then deputy administrator Engr. Fortunato de Joras of the OCD- an agency of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), is said to have made a remark  (back in 1983) to the effect that ". . .flying saucers don't crash", meaning that so far no "UFO" has ever been reported to have crash-landed on highly populated areas.

He also revealed that previous reports of sightings in the Philippines were referred to the Intelligence Service (G-2) of the Armed Forces of the Philippiines (AFP) where the staff personnel at G-2 are said to have conducted in-depth studies of those reported UFO sightings.
Mr. de Joras also added that pilots are expected to file their respective Reports in the event that they witness any unusual or anomalous aerial phenomenon.
