MISSION STATEMENT
 
"Unless otherwise so proven, the Center takes on the official stand that there exists an Anomalous Aerial Phenomenon (commonly referred to by the public as UFOs) of currently unknown nature that we believe is most worthy of scientific investigation . . . .
and that it is ithe mission of the Center  to undertake the task of researching, identifying, collating, and investigating sighting reports with an open mind and the practice of utmost objectivity..."

One of the countries in the Southeast Asian region, is an archipelagic nation comprising of more than 7,100 islands of various shapes and sizes, the largest of which is the island of Luzon, then Mindanao, then two from the Visayas area of the country, namely,Negros, the 3rd largest, and then the island of Samar- the 4th largest.
 
The Philippines experienced a "wave" of sightings beginning in early 1979 until around the middle of the 1980s when, during these intervening years, several witnesses from various parts of the country have filed their sighting reports to the media.

. . .But 7 other professional pilots, as well as their respective crews, flying on board 3 different Philippine Airlines flights from southern Philippines on the night of the 26th of February in 1983, say otherwise. . .
 
As reported and published in a national daily,one of the pilots deadheading on Flight-128, CAPT NINO M. SALVANA, submitted his personal narrative REPORT.
 
Copies of Sighting Report Forms were sent to the witnesses for us to obtain their signed testimonies and narrative statements thru Philippine Airlines management, but the request has not been acted upon, contrary to what has been mentioned in their LETTER of response to the Center.  Nevertheless, a copy of the published report authored by Capt Nino Salvana (as published in the national daily /Manila Times) has been furnished to RICHARD F. HAINES, Ph.D., the American Researcher who specializes on UFO cases involving airline pilots.

 
The "Landing Incident" At Barangay Matab-ang 
 
This alleged "landing incident", involving the presence of "entities" as reported by the lone witness, has been thoroughly investigated by both BOB PRATT of the National Enquirer and EDWIN V. GATIA of this Center, as well as by the local and Provincial police authorities.

In response to the request of the Center for documents fron the Office of Civil Relations-AFP, the HQ- Office of Air Staff Intelligence (A-2) of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), submitted to the Center a compilation of reports of alleged sightings of anomalous aerial phenomena.

PAGASA "opens up" (?) UFO Files

The Book, written by a former Field Investigator for the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS), is based on the inexplicable events that transpired during the Philippine wave of 1979, and the "close encounter" incidents of the 1980s, as well as TOP SECRED documents retrieved from the files of the U.S. Air Force Project Blue Book about aerial phenomenon reported in the Philippines from the 1940s to the 70s.
