A brightly shing big object lit acaross the sky early Tuesday (17-Feb/81) evening flaming straight toward
the northwest trailed by a long line of smoke and levaing many people in (the Province of) Antique
amazed.
The unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted at exactly 8:20 pm silently gliding straight from the southeast
toward the northwest on a slightly ascending course.
Highly reliable sources among them Sanguniang Panlalawigan (Provincial Board)
member ENRIQUE CEPE described the UFO as the only to be seen hereabout.
At about the same time Monday (16-Feb/81) evening a flying object which sparked as it drifted silently also
on almost the same course was sighted by EMIGIO O. BERIONG, a Provincial Administrative Officer.
The silent glowing object on the second Tuesday was moving at minimal speed, emitting greenish tail rays
toyed by a straight single long fine line of white resembling smoke, said Cepe.
The phenomenon lasted for 30 minutes, he said, before the object vanished into the far horizon. Barangay
(village) residents in Malandog and Maybato in the towns of Hamtic and San Jose, respectively,
were talking about the phenomenon up to midnight last night, Cepe said.

BRIGHT DAYTIME "LIGHT" OVER BACOLOD CITY . . .
Two witnesses were working on the construction of an Observatory dome at the roof-top when an unusually "bright star-like"
object appeared in the sunny afternoon sky. . .
|
WITNESS NARRATIVE ACCOUNT
|
". . .It was a clear sunny mid-afternoon day, and I was on our rooftop supervising
the construction of the Observatory dome. At the time, the other witness was doing the welding job on the dome while I was
seated (on the roof)facing due east.
Then this "light" which I would estimate to be of magnitude (brightness) of about
-2 or -3.0 (or about the brightness of Venus at the time of its greatest brilliancy or a little brighter), caught my attention.
(But Venus could never be more than 48 degrees in angular distance from the sun during the times of its greatest elongation,so
Venus is definitely ruled out as a possibility). If my memory serves me right, I think I also called the attention of the
welder/laborer to this bright object. It was moving too slow, but not slow enough compared to an aircraft (viewed flying
from a far distance). My initial comprehension was that it was an aircraft somehow reflecting the afternoon sun which was
at my back, due west, at the time. Looking at it, however, I could not discern any noticeable appendage(s)that would indicate
its nature as an aircraft- and that the object simply appeared as a bright (starlike) object against the (blue of the) daytime
sky. What caught my interest was the fact that the light (from my perspective and viewpoint) did not appear to be reflected
sunlight in a way. It was about 40 degrees altitude when first seen, and its rather slow movement in the sky towards a
northernly . . ."

CONE-SHAPED OBJECT OVER BACOLOD CITY. . .
|
WITNESS NARRATIVE ACCOUNT
|
". . .At exactly 10:00 p.m. me and some of my friends and neighbors have seen
a coned shaped glowing object at the sky. As we looked through our binoculars, we observed that the flying object has differnt
colors like red, blue, green, yellow and silver. Three days before my uncle saw this flying object but he didn't bother to
report it. They thought that it was only a star but it was different. It was not twinkling like a star. It only changes it's
color every quarter of a second. We based it's movement from every other stars and it was faster and it moves to the east.
At 11:30 p.m., it was seen again at the south were it was seen at 10:00 p.m. I once red a book about this and the article
said that most people that saw this U.F.O.'s always says that they have never seen anything like this before and now I am
one of them who is amazed to see this object and will always be watching the sky at night to report this object again if ever
I see this again. ."
