THE REPORT

The Philippine Constabulary received reports yesterday (undated /1979) of sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in three coastal towns of Bohol and later in another coastal of Masbate.
The reports which Maj. Gen. Fidel V. Ramos, Chief of the Philippine Constabulary, wanted verified further, were flashed to Camp Crame by Brig. Gen. Emilio Narciso, PC Commander of Region-7 in Cebu City.

The residents of fishing villages of Baang, Malton, and Bahan- all in the Province of Bohol, claimed to have seen the UFOs early at 4:00 in the morning.
As described by those who claimed to have seen them, the objects were more or less about 200 feet above.  They were in the form of mercury light (emitting) particles following a big light with the size of a ball.
Similar sightings were reported also later by residents of a coastal town of Masbate.  The UFO reportedly emitted colors of blue, red, green and white before "vanishing" in the air.

SILVERY "DISC"(?) OVER MACTAN ISLAND. . .

WITNESS NARRATIVE ACCOUNT

". . .I am looking at the clear skies near near the airplane path from Davao City to Cebu City. I was at my verandah in my home, when I saw two airplanes passes by at an interval of 15-minutes in preparation for landing at the airport. The passenger planes are Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. Suddenly a saucer type of flying object appear in the sky and seems following the path of two airplane. I observed the flying object for 30 sec using my binacular in the direction to the north. My estimate the altitude of the obeject is the same height of the airplane before landing about 7500 ft. The color of the flying object is clear silver glowing at sunlight rays in pure silver."

IRREGULAR "LIGHTS" IN THE SKY. . .

WITNESS NARRATIVE ACCOUNT

". The objects looked like stars but it moves then it slows down, some even cross paths. We thought that they were airplanes at first then fighter planes then it got too weird and it flew too fast at that distance we decided they were sattelites and their reflections. We never stopped seeing these things in the sky for the past years but we didn't mind them that much since we always knew there were other beings out there that needn't challenge our beliefs.. . ."

WITNESS NARRATIVE ACCOUNT

I was at the veranda of the restaurant with my friends, enjoying the city lights below, when suddenly there was a bright blue light (like it was caused by lightning) that lit up the whole of the city.

It was like daylight. As this happened, I looked up thinking that i might see a lightning bolt only to see a great ball of fire (blue in color) with a trail of blue streak behind it and a hissing sound. It was so intense that the streak didn't disappear for a while.
I didn't see where the object landed because there was a building blocking my sight. The day after, I bought all local newspapers to see if there was an
article regarding the phenomenon, but there was none. But, the newspaperman saw it and when I went back here in Dumaguete City, my friends saw it too.

THE REPORT

DUMAGUETE CITY / Province of Oriental Negros
The report was part of a published material authored by a columnist writing for the Philippine Daily Express, as disclosed by the witness, who was from the City of Dumaguete, who purportedly made the sighting while on her way home from night duty one early morning in 1979.

WITNESS NARRATIVE ACCOUNT

"It was about five in the morning and I had just finished my night duty at the hospital.  The sky was clear, with hardly a cloud to obscure the heavens,". . .

"All of a sudden, from above a football field a short distance away, appeared several bright and swiftly moving objects.  I thought I was hallucinating from which one often suffers when tired, but then the objects were too bright to be mistaken for stars. . .

Some were shaped like cigars while the others appeared like plain round objects with light pulsating from their sides...

They made no noise.  As suddenly as they appeared, they disappeared,". . .
